The archer is the southernmost constellation of the zodiac. It is located in one of the most interesting regions of the night sky, containing many beautiful deep-sky objects.
This constellation belongs to the zodiac. Its time of the year is between November 23 and December 21. This constellation does not belong to the zodiac. It's brightest star is Kaus Australis (ε Sagittarii).
Neighboring constellations are Scutum, Serpens, Ophiucus, Scorpius, Corona Australis, Telescopium, Indus, Microscopium, Capricornus, and Aquila.
