Messier object number 57 (NGC 6720) is a planetary nebula and in the constellation of Lyre. It is also known as the Ring Nebula. It is approximately 2,000 lightyears away from earth.
This is the very famous ring nebula in the Lyre. It is a prominent example of a dying star.
