Ursa Major (Great Bear)
The Great Bear is a large constellation in the northern hemisphere. It dates back to the ancient Greek. Seven of its stars form a very distinct shape in the night sky, known as the Big Dipper in Northern America. However, the actual constellation is much larger than only the area covered by these seven stars.
This constellation does not belong to the zodiac.
Neighboring constellations are Camelopardalis, Lynx, Leo Minor, Leo, Coma Berenices, Canes Venatici, Bootes, and Draco.
